Hypnosis
Hypnosis has been used for three thousand years as an aid to healing and wellbeing. Starting with temples in ancient Greece and Egypt, moving on to Mesmer and followers in Europe and then Erickson in the USA, hypnotherapy is now recognised by the British and American Medical Associations.
What is hypnosis?
A trance or hypnotic state is something we all experience daily.
It is similar to daydreaming. It is a state of focus and concentration during which we are more able to accept positive suggestions.
Hypnosis for therapy is about relaxation, during which you may be fully aware of your surroundings. Most clients feel relaxed and refreshed after a therapy session.
Will I loose control or do something I don't want to during the session?
The simple answer is No. You will not say or do anything you do not want to at all times you will be in control.
As a Hypnotherapist I do not have special powers; if I did I really would have gotten my husband to buy me a better car!
